Strategic Military Leadership

Fort Building

He built over 300 forts across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and parts of Karnataka, many of which remain symbols of his strategic brilliance. Famous forts include Raigad, Sinhagad, Lohagad, and Pratapgad.

Naval Power

He understood the importance of maritime strength, establishing a navy along the Konkan coast to protect the shores and trade routes. The Maratha Navy was a significant force in the Indian Ocean.

Progressive Governance

Coronation as Chhatrapati
